Thank you/Merci

The last full day of school I headed off with Oskar, gift cards in hand. Although he would return to school for grading on Monday, I knew daddy might forget the cards (sorry babe - true).

O and I walked around to his bus driver, his teacher, yard monitor, his music teacher and gym teacher and thanked them for a great year and wished them a wonderful summer.

Before we left we saw Oskar's teacher heading to the teachers lunch room and she had her card out. She spotted us and immediately gave Oskar a big hug. She told us she was just heading down to share this gift with her peers. She said it brought a tear to her eye and she had never received such a great gift.

What a bonus to experience her reaction. It was so satisfying and a real testament to how she loves children and the privilege of learning.

We hope all the other children who gave these cards felt the same pride. Thank you for your support! As a result 18 kids will have 2 months more in school.
